To get the most out of your cruise, you have to know the differences between the cruise lines.   The satisfaction you get from your cruise will depend on matching what you want out of a cruise with the right cruise line. This is where a good travel agent can be very helpful.

If you are an action and adventure seeker, then the Royal Caribbean Voyager class would be a better match for you.  It offers a rock climbing wall, ice skating, in-line skating, mini-golf, volleyball courts.  The Freedom-class even offers onboard surfing and a boxing ring.

If you are a sophisticated 40-something, then the Celebrity Solstice is the way to go.  It is an upscale, culinary adventure.  It also includes a glass blowing studio.

For casino enthusiasts, Norwegian Cruise Line's Jewel-class ships are perfect because they offer lucrative poker tournaments, and their Texas Hold 'Em features live dealers instead of machines.

Romance and honeymooners will enjoy Princess Cruises which was the model for the original "Love Boat." Their captains are licenced to perform weddings at sea. They offer onboard classes for rediscovering intimacy as well as tear-jerker movies in the cabin.

The list goes on, and in the next blog I will continue to shed light on how to know which cruise line matches your personality.
